Month of Amazing Women

    

      Women's month is an opportunity to celebrate and reflect on women's achievements, as well as the problems they have faced in the struggle to be free and the important role they continue to play in society. The purpose behind celebrating this day is to promote peace with women's rights. While every day is a women's day, this particular day is marked to honor all the women and their achievements.

     In the 1900s, particularly in the United States of America, particularly garment workers fighting for their economic rights and fair work hours.In 1911, the first International Women’s Day was celebrated on 19 March participated by millions of men and women. But this year COVID-19 brought  challenges and opportunities for women. Women’s participates in battling the pandemic as well as discusses gender issues. It is the time to delve deep into the gender issues that emerged or become more felt during the health crisis, feature women who thrived despite the circumstances, and share support systems and government programs that address women’s issues and concerns. The Philippine Commission on Women invites

advocates of women’s rights to sport purple clothes or accessories every Thursday to show their support and join the call to advance women’s rights and gender equality and end discrimination against women.Proclamation No. 227 series of  1 provides for the observance of the month of March as Women’s Role in History month while Republic Act 6949 series of 1990 declares March 8 of every year as International Women’s Day. Women's are important, women can multi-task. Women’s brains are wired differently. They can feed the baby while watching their cooking stew, and while talking on the phone. This is why they can do many things all at once. Call it evolutionary biology. Woman evolved into a better person but her brain had to be that of a nurturer while the men became hunter-gatherers.

    We have to celebrate women’s achievements as mothers, wives, co-workers and as partners. Many men and women take for granted that women deserve to be given equal rights and same choices as men. Women have big impact to our community.
